Applying digital filters to GSV-6 and GSV-8 measuring amplifiers

In addition to setting the data frequency, the GSV-6 and GSV-8 series measuring amplifiers offer the possibility of configuring digital filters.

The GSV-6 and GSV-8 series measuring amplifiers offer the option of using digital filters. The GSV-6 model features IIR filters (Infinite Impulse Response filters), while the GSV-8 model additionally includes FIR filters (Finite Impulse Response filters).

The filters can be configured individually for each channel. The GSVmulti software allows you to configure the filters. The menu can be accessed via "Device" --> "Advanced Settings" --> "Filters".

Important: The data frequency limits the permissible range for the adjustable cutoff frequency. Rule of thumb:

The data frequency must be set approximately 2.5 to 10 times higher than the cutoff frequency.
