The force sensor was e.g. in kN and set the display accordingly. How can I change the display e.g. from newtons to kilograms or tons.
The output signal (the characteristic value) of the sensor is previously shown in the calibration certificate or test report, e.g. in the unit kN:
0.987006 mV/V / (50 kN)
1. Please convert the kN into t, (50 / 9.81)
50kN = 5.0986 t
Thus, the following applies to the sensor:
0.98706 mV/V / (5.0986 t)
Please enter the characteristic value 0.98706 and the corresponding nominal load 5.0986 t in the interface of the GSVmulti software:

In addition to the "characteristic value and the nominal load of the sensor, the input sensitivity of the measuring amplifier is required. It is usually 2.0 mV/V (GSV-2AS, GSV-3USB, GSV-4USB) or 3.5 mV/V (GSV-2TSD-DI, GSV-2MSD-DI, GSV-8DS).
Then press "Calculate", and then "OK Set".
The factor that is then stored in the measuring amplifier is:
5.0986 t * 3.5 mV/V / 0.987006 mV/V = 18.080 t
